Center Support Roles
Help keep The Gala Center running smoothly with roles in group facilitation, grant writing, building cleanup, landscaping, maintenance, administrative support, or serving as a Center Ambassador to welcome visitors.
Central Coast Pride Planning Committee
The Central Coast Pride Committee organizes the region’s annual Pride celebration, creating an unforgettable event that celebrates diversity and fosters connection. Volunteers help with everything from event planning to day-of logistics to ensure Pride is a success.
Central Coast Pride Volunteers
Be part of Pride by helping with setup, registration, running booths, festival support, food handling, bar service, or cleanup to make this annual event a success.
Events Planning Committee
The Events Committee plans and executes The Gala Pride & Diversity Center’s gatherings, including community events, fundraisers, and educational workshops. This committee ensures that each event is welcoming, inclusive, and impactful.
General Event Volunteers
Support events by assisting with setup, cleanup, registration, running booths, guest check-in, food handling, bar service, or attendee support to ensure smooth and successful gatherings.
Finance Committee
The Finance Committee oversees the center’s financial health by developing budgets, monitoring expenses, and ensuring transparent financial reporting. This committee collaborates with leadership to offer strategic insights and uphold responsible fiscal practices
Fundraising Committee
The Fundraising Committee is dedicated to securing the financial resources needed to support The Gala Pride & Diversity Center’s programs and services. Responsibilities include developing fundraising campaigns, building donor relationships, and organizing donation drives to ensure the center’s growth.
Governance Committee
The Governance Committee ensures The Gala Pride & Diversity Center operates efficiently and ethically. Focuses on board development, nonprofit compliance, and creating policies to support growth.
Governmental Affairs Committee
The Governmental Affairs Committee monitors local, state, and national legislation impacting the LGBTQ+ community. This committee advocates for equality and inclusion by collaborating with lawmakers, writing letters of support, and educating the community on key issues
Marketing Committee
The Marketing Committee drives the center’s visibility by creating engaging content, managing social media, and coordinating communications across all platforms. Volunteers in this committee help shape the center’s voice and promote its mission to the wider community. Roles include graphic design, email marketing, social media marketing, PR, and more!
Tranz Central Coast Committee
The Tranz Central Coast Committee supports the transgender and gender-diverse community by organizing events, providing resources, and fostering a safe space for connection. Volunteers work to amplify trans voices and advocate for trans-inclusive policies in the region.
Youth Program Committee
The Youth Program Committee designs and implements programs tailored to the needs of LGBTQ+ youth, providing a supportive environment where they can thrive. From mentorship opportunities to youth-focused events, this committee empowers the next generation.

- Secretary: Takes meeting minutes, maintains committee records, tracks action items, and ensures clear communication between committee members and leadership
- Treasurer: Oversees financial planning and reporting for the committee, ensuring alignment with the center’s overall budget and goals.
