Assembly Bill No. 1732 “Single-User Restrooms”
Commencing March 1, 2017, all single-user toilet facilities in any business establishment, place of public accommodation, or government agency will be identified as all-gender toilet facilities.
Tranz Central Coast is a San Luis Obispo group whose mission is to provide education, resources and support to the community. They offer this temporary restroom sign in the spirit of assisting members of the community to be in compliance with state law regarding signage for single-user restrooms. True gender neutrality is the absense of gener markets of any kind. It is recommended that any sign used for the purpose of complying with this statute simply state “toilet” or “restroom” and avoid using icons that depict people.
