The Gala Pride and Diversity Center has been providing support, encouraging diversity and inclusion since before its incorporation in 1997. From more than 10 years we have owned our beautiful center at
1060 Palm Street, San Luis Obispo.
LGBTQ+ Community Resources
The Gala Pride and Diversity Center advocates for the Central Coast’s LGBTQ+ community and prioritizes the individuals of the Central Coast in their everyday lives from helping someone new to the area to find connections to helping a person find support services.

Good morning from the Gala Pride and Diversity Center! ¡Buenos días desde el Centro de Orgullo y Diversidad Gala!
Do you need individual therapy (LGBTQ+ affirming) or do you want to participate in our new therapist led monthly transgender support group (a few spots remaining for January start)? Contact Rocio at therapist@galacc.org for more information.

There are two particular films that we think your membership would love! The films are titled Almost Liam and The Seder. We want to give your organization members a Discount code in order to watch these films at a reduced rate.
Here is the process for using the Discount code:

- Click on the Discount Code bar and type GALA, then press the Plus button.
- The website will bring you to this page: SHORT FILMS TWO | SLO Jewish Film Festival (slojff.com).
- You will hit the Pre-Order button and be shown a list of ticket prices. If you only want to watch Almost Liam and The Seder (for $8.00 at the Discounted rate), please select that option. If you would like to buy other passes/tickets, that is great! Thank you for your support!
- This will lead you to the Create an Account page and you will add in your payment information.
- After that, you are able to watch Almost Liam and The Seder as many times as you would like between Thursday, January 7th, 2021 and Thursday, January 28th, 2021.

Groups are quiet this week as we slide into 2021. We didn’t manage to pull something together for New Year’s Eve, but we are looking forward to lots of great happenings in 2021! If you are able to send us a few dollars at the end of the year we appreciate it - Subsription or one off giving link

Q Youth will be up and running towards the end of January - we can’t wait to share our new programs with you!
Sunday January 3rd
7pm-8pm Sunday Evening Rap (LGBTQ+ AA Group) meets every Sunday evening. During COVID-19 closures, the meeting is on Zoom with meeting ID 206 301 937. A password is required. To receive the password email aarapgroup@gmail.com and someone will send it along.

Thursday January 14th, 2021 - Join us for a discussion on the intersections of LGBTQ+ and Jewish life in collaboration with the JCC Federation as part of the Jewish Film Festival.
Thursday January 28th, 2021 - Join us for a forum on LGBTQ+ dementia with the Alzheimer’s Association.
Saturday February 20th - Fabulous Variety Event Show Fundraiser with SLO Light and Sound and Big Balsz Productions
Thursday February 25th, 6-7:30 pm - Town Hall Meeting with the SLO LGBTQ+ Mental Health Task Force and Dr. Jay Bettergarcia of QCares and SLOACCEPTance. You will hear about what the task force has been doing, our strategic plan for the next three years - as well as a presentation on the LGBTQ+ needs assessment and the findings which are informing our work!
