The Gay and Lesbian Alliance of the Central Coast (soon to be renamed the Gala Pride and Diversity Center), has been providing support and encouraging diversity and inclusion since before its incorporation in 1997. For the last 10 years we have owned our beautiful Center at 1060 Palm St.

3pm-7pm Join us for Communities Together Celebrate King at Temple Beth David on Los Osos Valley Road (GALA will have a table)

Tuesday January 21st

7pm-9pm Trans*Tuesday at the GALA Center

6pm-8pm Bi+ Support Group meets at the GALA Center

6pm-7pm Santa Maria HOPE is having a Pride Planning Meeting at 124 W. Main Street, Santa Maria

7pm-10pm Believing Out Loud at Cal Poly’s Cross Cultural Centers. (This is a welcoming and affirming group for anyone who wants to explore faith, gather in community, and learn more about anti-racist, queer, and feminist theology. This is a partnership with the Canterbury Shire campus ministry.)

Thursday February 13th 8am-8:30pm Cal Poly’s College of Liberal Arts is holding an “Inclusion Starts With Me” Teach-in open to all at various venues on campus. There are some great offerings including “Using Wikipedia to Teach Queer Politics” with R.G. Cravens and “Transfeminism 101” with Ednie Garrison. Michelle will also be on campus for a Sex Ed panel (separate from this event) at 11:30 am as part of Safer’s “Love Carefully” week.
