Assembly Bill No. 1732 “Single-User Restrooms”
Commencing March 1, 2017, all single-user toilet facilities in any business establishment, place of public accommodation, or government agency will be identified as all-gender toilet facilities.
Tranz Central Coast is a San Luis Obispo group whose mission is to provide education, resources, and support to the community. True gender neutrality is the absence of gender markets of any kind. It is recommended that any sign used for the purpose of complying with this statute simply state “toilet” or “restroom” and avoid using icons that depict people.
