What’s Going On Week of 8-10-2020

Good morning from the Gala Pride and Diversity Center! ¡Buenos días desde el Centro de Orgullo y Diversidad Gala!

We were very sad to hear of the passing of San Luis Obispo Supervisor Adam Hill last week.  Supervisor Hill was a staunch ally of the LGBTQ+ community, giving time and resources to the Gala Pride and Diversity Center and Tranz Central Coast. If you’re feeling lonely don’t hesitate to call our Center at 805-541-4252 to get connected with community. If you are struggling with depression and/or suicidal thoughts our local hotline number is 800-783-0607.

Thanks to the amazing folks at the Stoke the World Foundation, we are looking for a therapist for our upstairs office to serve the LGBTQ+ Community. This space is available RENT FREE.  They don’t need to move in during Covid-19 and we will also pay for therapist led support groups and provide PPE. For more information see our Interest Form.
